Living Room Furniture Refresh

Living Room Furniture Refresh - SlayAtHomeMother.com

See how we refreshed our living room furniture, from Gardner-White…

Hi friends! I’m so excited to share our new furniture from Gardner-White! I recently shared our shopping experience in their Auburn Hills location (you can read about that HERE), and I heavily hinted towards the set we were getting but wasn’t ready to share with you guys until now!

I’ve partnered with Gardner-White for this post, however, all opinions are my own (as always), and I only share brands I love and trust with my readers.

Our Previous Furniture Set

If you aren’t familiar with our previous set of furniture (also from Gardner-White, but about 5 years old), we had a sofa and loveseat in a medium brown color.

When we first purchased our home, this set went nicely with our taste and style at that time.

Seeing how we’ve changed just about EVERYTHING about our home now though (the walls, the flooring, etc.), it’s only fitting that we upgraded our living space again with some updated seating arrangements.

Delivery Of Our New Furniture

Once I received the automated call with our delivery window, Chris and I tracked our delivery online with Gardner-White’s Track Your Delivery Online option – we loved that!

Once it arrived, the delivery guys were kind enough to let me film the delivery process, so be sure to check out that video below!

Our New Furniture Set From Gardner-White

We ended up getting the Asher sofa and loveseat, which combined the polished nailhead look and pillow-back design that I like.

Hello, beautiful neutral vibes!

This furniture set kind of crept up on us – it wasn’t something I had my eye set on from the beginning like the Viewpoint or the Castille, but it was a great compromise of the two.

It had the polished nail heads and partial tufted design that I liked so much on the Castille, and the pillow-back option that I admired on the Viewpoint.

It’s also INCREDIBLY comfortable to sit on – which is super important for Chris and I since I work from home, and Chris has a prosthetic hip on one side.

I call him ‘The Bionic Man’.

It’s a gentle way of reminding our kids to take it easy when they wrestle with him, but also to make him out to be kind of a superhero ;).

The boys have been enjoying playing the floor is lava since they can sit and bounce on the ottoman now that we don’t have a coffee table.

I’m honestly not missing having a coffee table, though I do plan on getting a tray to set on the ottoman in case we have company over.

Our TV Stand And Side Tables

I wasn’t totally sold on our tables when we purchased them (mainly because I’m stubborn and Chris spotted them first) and was kind of nervous about how the brown color would look in our home, but our salesman was so right!

The color looks darker in our home and goes really well with our pallet wood wall.

End Dining Chairs

Now on to the dining room!

When we were wandering through Gardner-White on our shopping trip last week (more like chasing a crazy toddler and sassy I’m-so-over-this 8-year-old), I came across the dining sets.

I already have a beautiful locally made farmhouse table, but looking at the selection of dining chairs at the store gave me the idea to grab some end chairs for our table!

They add the perfect finishing touch to our dining room!

I kept with the tufted look for our dining chairs and chose the Laurel Upholstered Side Chair – and I think it was the perfect choice for us.

I started to wonder how we ever lived without them ;).

BTW – Have I ever mentioned how much I love this room?

It has a crazy amount of natural light first thing in the morning and makes for a bright and airy space.

Especially since we repainted and got rid of that crazy wallpaper the previous owner put up.

I spy a pup under one of our new chairs – can you spot our puggle, Cooper?

Aaaaaaaaand that’s it!

We have a gorgeous set of new furniture from Gardner-White that we absolutely love!

Thanks so much for reading! Tell me what you think of the furniture we purchased in the comments below!
