When does it feel like Fall to you?
For me, it’s that sudden shift in temperature, where the weather drops about 10 degrees and I find myself grabbing a cardigan on my way out the front door for school drop-off each morning.
And when the air changes, I feel a shift happen within myself, too.
Something about the sudden chill of Fall air breathes new life into me.
I find myself looking around with a pair of fresh eyes – ready to bring about some change in our life.
While I take on a few decorating projects each season, I try to use some of that recharged-batteries feeling towards the cleaning tasks I need to do to help maintain our home as well.
And I’m sharing that list with you to help you maintain your home better as well…

Fall Cleaning Checklist
Living Room
Here are some cleaning tasks to complete in Fall in your living room or family room…
- change furnace filter
- deep clean curtains and windows
- dust tv and speakers
- deep clean couches, pillows, and rugs
- clean behind couches / under furniture
- detail fan blades, light switches, mantle
- wash walls
Home Office
Here are some cleaning tasks to complete in Fall in your home office…
- organize work papers
- declutter excess office materials
- deep clean and organize desk
- deep clean appliances in office (printer, shredder, etc.)
- shred documents with important info
- replace ink cartridges if needed
- check and replace charger cables
- wipe down charger cables and cords
Kitchen
Here are some cleaning tasks to complete in Fall in your kitchen…
- wash kitchen baseboards and cabinets
- deep clean dishwasher interior
- clean and re-organize pantry shelves
- deep clean and organize fridge
- organize and wipe clean drawer interior
